How to Make an Herbal Facial for Your Skin Type

Regular facial cleansing is important to remove surface grime and dirt. A good facial works by opening your pores and deep-cleaning beneath the upper layers of your epidermis. It also helps remove old and dead skin cells, while treating your skin to a revitalizing moisture and some much deserved pampering. You can make your own all-natural facial cleansers with ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

Things You'll Need:

1 ripe peach, peeled

1 to 2 tbs. honey

1 cup of oatmeal

Mix all your ingredients together until well blended. Pour the solution into a glass container with a well-fitting lid.

2

Wash your face and gently pat the excess moisture with a soft towel.

3

Put some of the facial on a damp washcloth and gently scrub your entire face with gentle circular movements (don't forget to apply some behind your ears and the back of your neck).

4

Rinse your face well with warm water and then pat your face gently dry.

Rinse off the cleanser and gently pat your face dry with a towel.

Place the peeled fruit in a pan and heat it until it is soft and mushy.

To this foundation, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey. Next, slowly stir in one cup of oatmeal.

3

To use your facial, wash your face and gently pat the excess moisture with a soft towel.

4

Put some of the facial on a damp washcloth and gently scrub your entire face with gentle circular movements (don't forget to apply some behind your ears and the back of your neck). Rinse your face well with warm water and then pat your face gently dry.

Tips & Warnings

As you prepare your cleanser, stop adding oatmeal if you notice the mixture getting too dry. It must be spreadable.

Do not cleanse your face more than twice a day - excessive cleansing merely stimulates your skin's oil-producing sebaceous glands.
